Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL) invites applications for the 359 Assistant Engineer(AE), Junior Engineer(JE), Chemist, Chemical Supervisor Posts for KPCL’s Power Projects / Stations.

JOB NOTIFICATION DETAILS:

A. Classification of Reservation of Posts for Hyderabad Karnataka region[local Cadre] under Article 371[J]

1. ASSISTANT ENGINEER (CIVIL) -12 Posts
   1. A degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering from a recognized University.
   2. Candidates possessing Engineering degree in Civil-Environment or Civil-Transportation are not eligible.
2. ASSISTANT ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL) -36 Posts
   1. A degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University.
   2. Four posts are reserved for candidates possessing Engineering degree in Electronics Or Electronics & Telecommunication / Communication qualification
3. ASSISTANT ENGINEER (MECHANICAL) – 39 Posts
   1. A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University.
   2. Candidates possessing Engineering degree in Industrial Production or Automobile are not eligible.
4. ASSISTANT ENGINEER (INSTRUMENTATION) – 12 Posts
   1. A degree or equivalent qualification in Instrumentation Technology Engineering from a recognized University.

   1. A degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science Engineering from a recognized University.
6. JUNIOR ENGINEER (CIVIL) – Posts
   1. Three years Diploma in Civil Engineering
7. JUNIOR ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL) – 26 Posts
   1. Three years Diploma in Electrical Engineering
   2. Three posts are reserved for candidates possessing Diploma in Electronics or Electronics & Tele Communications qualification.
8. JUNIOR ENGINEER (MECHANICAL) – 34 Posts
   1. Three years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
   2. Two posts are reserved for candidates possessing Diploma in Automobile Engineering qualification.
   3. Candidates possessing Diploma in Machine Tool Tech or Diploma in Heat Power Engg or Diploma in Horological Engg or Diploma in GTTC are not eligible.
9. CHEMIST – 21 Posts
   1. A Master Degree in Chemistry/Applied Chemistry from a recognized University.
   2. Experience in the relevant field.
10. CHEMICAL SUPERVISOR – 30 Posts
    1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Science with chemistry as one of the subject from a recognized
    2. Experience of 2 years in analysis of coal, water, oil & gas in the Thermal Power Station

B. Classification of Reservation of Posts for Other than Hyd-Kar Region[Non Local Cadre]

1. ASSISTANT ENGINEER (CIVIL) – 25 Posts
   1. A degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering from a recognized University.
   2. Candidates possessing Engineering degree in Civil-Environment or Civil-Transportation are not eligible.
2. ASSISTANT ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL) – 40 Posts
   1. A degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University.

Perquisites: As admissible from time to time as per KPCL Rules depending on the place of posting.

The total emolument currently at minimum of the scale is Rs 43,111/- for Assistant Engineers & Rs 37,220/-for Chemist & Rs 32,940/- for Junior Engineers/ Chemical Supervisor.

Pension: As per ‘New Defined Contributory Pension Scheme’ effective from 01.01.2012.

Selection procedure: Selection of the candidates will be made in order of merit in each category only on the basis of marks secured in the written test.
